REP PR 1000 with Weight Storage Posts

$712.98

  • Space Requirement: Medium-large (suitable for a garage or basement)
  • Steel: 14 gauge
  • Capacity: 700 lbs officially, but with storage posts loaded with plates, we are sure it will be significantly more stable than any other 14 gauge cage.
  • HGM’s Verdict: this is a very compelling option for an intermediate/advanced athlete who wants an all-in-one full cage solution at an attractive price point from an established vendor.

Description

  • Total Footprint: ~58″ Wide x 48″ Deep (with storage)
  • Height: 83″
  • Steel Gauge: 14-gauge Steel
  • Weight Capacity: 700 lbs
  • Key Features: Comes standard with a multi-grip pull-up bar, numbered uprights for easy J-cup placement, and two additional uprights acting as weight storage posts (EIGHT! horns) that also add stability.
  • HGM Take: We’re huge fans of using a rack for storing weight plates, because usually it adds even more stability.  We’re also huge fans of cages as a design, and while bolt-on vs flat-foot is a matter of taste, we personally prefer not having to bolt on.  We also like buying smart.  So, when you have one of the best value designs for cages (REP’s 1000 series), and you add weight storage, we really love the outcome.  This is a full setup 14 gauge rack that costs as much as the basic package for 11 gauge racks, and yet with the added stability of the weight storage, it competes if not outperforms the 11 gauge racks for stability.
